Jeanne Hoffa
President

Jeanne is an experienced public relations professional specializing in media relations, executive positioning, branding and strategic communications planning. She started Coast Public Relations in 2011 and works with a wide variety of clients in the corporate, non-profit and consumer sectors. Prior to starting Coast PR, Jeanne worked at Weber Shandwick, one of the largest public relations agencies in the industry.

With a specialty in media relations, Jeanne has conducted numerous high-profile public relations campaigns throughout her career. These include programs for World Relief, Mattel and the Mattel Children’s Foundation, World Hope International, Found Animals Foundation, Veolia Water, Novartis Diagnostics, the Sierra Leone Investment and Export Promotion Agency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), CKE Restaurants, Inc. (parent company of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s), a major airline, various law firms and more.

Her media relations accomplishments include securing top-tier media interviews for high-profile individuals such as Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma, former FDIC chairman Sheila Bar, Mattel CEO Bob Eckert and CKE Restaurants, Inc. CEO Andy Puzder. Jeanne launched her career at PR agency Allison & Partners after graduating cum laude from the University of Southern California.

Jeanne splits her time between Los Angeles and Detroit and is an avid world traveler, yoga student and foodie.

Melissa Bajorek
Group Director

Melissa Bajorek joined Coast Public Relations in February 2012. At Coast PR, Melissa utilizes her strong writing, creativity and strategic skills to help manage media relations, press materials development and events for Coast PR’s diverse range of clients. Some of her key accomplishments to date include securing several KCAL-TV (CBS) segments and a KTLA-TV segment, as well as placements in top trade and consumer outlets, including: Adweek, Ad Age, Denver Post, Orange County Register, LA Weekly, CNBC.com, and small business articles with Entrepreneur.com, Associated Press and MSN.com. She also has a strong network of mommy blogger relationships.

As a seasoned public relations professional with nearly a decade of experience in media relations, strategic writing and planning, budgeting and event management, Melissa has worked at large and boutique agencies in Los Angeles and New York. She has a diverse PR background having worked on startup sports websites, entertainment mobile apps, travel sites, as well as healthcare, beauty, consumer and nutrition accounts.

Prior to joining Coast Public Relations, Melissa served as an Account Supervisor at Atomic PR, a consumer tech PR firm in Los Angeles. While at Atomic PR, Melissa led PR efforts for consumer tech and travel accounts including the startups, ScoreBig.com , an online ticket retail site, Moonshark, a mobile entertainment company founded by CAA and Qualcomm, and one of the leading online travel sites, Hotwire.com.

Before working at Atomic PR, Melissa managed PR efforts for Mentor Worldwide, Amgen and InterMune at Hill & Knowlton. At H&K in Santa Monica, Calif. Melissa helped to raise awareness of breast reconstruction, osteoporosis and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis through strategic press materials, third-party partnerships, events, media outreach and controlled media vehicles. Melissa also gained PR experience working at Ruder Finn, the largest privately held PR firm in New York, on Novartis where she assisted in the development and implementation of PR, marketing and communications efforts for high blood pressure and influenza consumer education campaigns.

Melissa launched her PR career at CarryOn Communication in Los Angeles where she supervised consumer programs for Nature Made, OLAY Vitamins and Nature’s Resource herbal supplements.

Melissa graduated with honors from the University of Southern California with a Bachelors of Science in Public Relations and minors in French and Theatre. She enjoys independent films, yoga, health food and reading French literature.

Kate Franklin
Public Relations Director

As Public Relations Director, Kate Franklin brings with her a varied yet in-depth professional background in public relations, working within the Lifestyle, Consumer, Food, Entertainment/Film, Events, Action Sports, Beauty, and Fashion realms, and lending her nearly twelve-year industry expertise to both up-and-coming as well as globally established brands.

Recent notable clients include: California Pizza Kitchen, CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc. (Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s), AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals), and Fireman’s Brew.

Brooke Martin
Account Executive

At Coast PR, Brooke is an integral member of account teams, assisting with media outreach, coverage reports, account management, media monitoring, research, social media oversight and more. As an up-and-coming public relations executive, Brooke has quickly found a passion for media relations, securing top-tier coverage from outlets like USA Today, PopSugar, Glamour, BuzzFeed, Brit + Co, Entrepreneur, Huffington Post, Reader’s Digest, People.com, The Bump, Pregnancy & Newborn, KNBC-TV, KTLA-TV, Oxygen Magazine and more. 

She also works frequently with an extensive network of mom bloggers, health and wellness reporters, and digital influencers. 

Prior to joining Coast Public Relations, Brooke worked as an Account Coordinator at Godfrey Sanders PR (GSPR), a full-service public relations agency that specializes in the baby/parenting and lifestyle space. 

Brooke graduated from California State University, Fullerton with her Bachelors of Arts in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. She enjoys traveling, fitness, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Andrew Meehan
Director of Marketing & Business Strategy

Andrew, who is a Director with Coast Public Relations, has his Master's of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree and worked for two healthcare management consulting companies in their strategy practices (MDS Consulting, acquired by Vizient, and Kaufman Hall) prior to joining Coast. He has a deep knowledge in the healthcare space, having completed his residency at three So-Cal based health systems: Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center TorranceKeck Medical Center of USC, and HCA owned Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center.

Andrew has unique expertise and experience in creating and implementing senior level strategic communications marketing programs with an emphasis on health and wellness and healthcare programming, including brokering third-party partnerships, cross-brand and corporate communications strategies, and providing consumer marketing expertise across system-wide networks. 

While supporting the president, Jeanne Hoffa, and providing leadership support for all practice groups, client programs and staff, Andrew leads the charge for Coast's healthcare arm. He currently manages the PR team for the largest academically integrated healthcare system in southeast Michigan, a breakthrough brain cancer initiative launching a new clinical trial, and a nonprofit in L.A. doing work in the palliative care space.

His work has generated over 890 million media impressions (and counting) across broadcast, online and print channels.

Andrew received his BS and MHA, with honors, from the University of Southern California.

Caroline Tanaka
Senior Media Relations Specialist

Caroline is a West Coast-based media relations specialist with a proven track record in securing top-tier placements for consumer, tech and non-profit brands on a local, regional and national level. She joined Coast Public Relations in 2013 and focuses on media and client relations, strategic planning and writing, as well as events coordination.

Caroline launched her PR career at eToys.com, an online retailer of children’s toys and games, where she developed intimate working relationships with many key print, broadcast and online media outlets across the nation.

After eToys.com, Caroline served as an Account Manager at Allison & Partners, an award-winning international public relations agency, where she oversaw media relations and account management for a wide range of consumer tech, beverage, legal and non-profit clients including: YouTube, LegalZoom.com, Children Affected by AIDS Foundation’s Dream Halloween Party, Cakebread Cellars, Guidance Software, The Michelin Guide and Riordan Lewis and Haden.

As a media relations guru, Caroline has a handful of key placements under her pitching belt. Amanda Tsang
Senior Media Relations Specialist

Amanda Tsang brings a wide variety of public relations experience to Coast PR in the digital media, technology, consumer and social impact arenas. Amanda applies her extensive media relations, event planning and social media experience to both startups and established brands/organizations. Amanda’s recent experience include social media management platform, Spredfast, online sharing platform, Posterous (acquired by Twitter), mobile video calling service, Tango, and legal firm Avid Law Center.

Amanda most recently worked as a senior account executive at Allison & Partners, an international communications firm with PR and marketing expertise in technology and digital media. Amanda was responsible for day-to-day account maintenance, media relations, strategic planning and pitch development for clients in the consumer, technology and digital media practices including recognized brands such as YouTube, Best Western and Progressive Insurance, as well as startup companies such as Ning (acquired by CBS Interactive), Machinima and RippleTV. In addition, Amanda has led community outreach and corporate social responsibility campaigns for clients such as Sprint, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, eHarmony.

Before joining Allison & Partners, Amanda worked for the City of Anaheim in Orange County, California, where she assisted in the execution of large-scale events and contests for the City’s 150th anniversary campaign. Prior to that, she worked with the Orange County Children’s Therapeutic Arts Center, an organization dedicated to providing arts education to under-privileged children in Orange County. Her work there included the development of the Center’s first comprehensive public relations and marketing plan to aid in its growth and presence throughout Orange County.

Amanda holds a B.A. in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations, from California State University, Fullerton.
